I had the Matt’s Clonakilty Chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken was tender and full of flavour, wrapped in bacon and served with a rich, creamy sauce. The dish came with homemade mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, and I also ordered a side of fries, which were excellent.
My girlfriend had the soup of the day and was absolutely delighted with it. We also enjoyed two pints of Kilkenny, which paired perfectly with the meal.
The total bill came to just €57 for two people, including the beers, which felt like great value for money. We left completely satisfied and would gladly come back. Highly recommended!

This is such a great visit! They have great pub food, fantastic beer on tap and live Irish music to go with it! The place has a classic atmosphere and the people working there were super friendly as well. It’s also very near Kilkenny castle and the river, so a big thumbs up 👍😋
Really well prepared food. Super simple and effective. Everything came out at great temperatures too. I even thought the dishes were presented well.
The starter, main, and dessert were all wonderful.
